Description: In this project, I developed the project from story and worldbuilding through to the final visual designs, creating the characters, their personalities and backstories, costumes, expressions and individual design language. I also designed the mobile laboratory and its interior spaces, using environment and prop design to reflect the personalities and research interests of its inhabitants. The project focuses on character-driven worldbuilding, combining stylised character design, environment design and visual storytelling to create a cohesive fictional universe.
Synopsis: The Madman Laboratory is a self-directed 2D visual development project exploring an eccentric group of scientists living and working together in a mobile laboratory.
