Description: This is a self-directed 3D environment and lighting project developed from an original story and visual concept. I created the scene from initial composition sketches and visual development through to 3D scene assembly, lighting, rendering in Maya and compositing in Nuke.The project focuses on using composition, lighting contrast and environmental storytelling to create a quiet but unsettling horror atmosphere, allowing the viewer to infer what happened in the space through a single static shot.
Synopsis: On a moonlit night, a crow enters an abandoned basement, drawn in by the smell of blood. Inside, it discovers a dimly lit table surrounded by scattered files, medicine and the remains of a recent victim.
